A few weeks ago I received a wonderful email from a company called Blossoming Gifts who wanted to offer me the chance to experience and write about the wonderful bouquets they have to offer. I am an absolute sucker for some pretty flowers so I jumped at such an opportunity. Flash forward less than 48 hours and they were on my doorstep, and it was love at first sight.
In this post I will be talking about my experience with Blossoming Gifts, the bouquet I chose and the value for money. If you read on you may even find yourself an exclusive discount code *wink wink*.
Blossoming Gifts – what are they all about?
Blossoming Gifts are an upcoming online florist with so so much to offer, delivering beautiful bouquets across the UK 7 days a week. They sell gorgeous flowers for every occasion and they don’t stop there. They also sell personalised gifts to suit the needs of everyone, and hampers which would blow your mind.
The main thing which I love about this company is the sheer convenience. No more damaging your petrol station plants in a carrier bag on the long walk home. No more rushing out last minute in order to make sure that they keep for as long as possible. You can order these gorgeous flowers at a click of a button, to any destination in the UK. So no more excuses gift-givers! I am giving you the power to brighten the days of all those you love, do with it what you will.
It was a painful process trying to pick my favourite bouquet – I wanted so many! But I finally managed to pick a fave and place my order with my lovely Blossoming Gifts correspondent Abby on the Wednesday morning. My flawless flowers were waiting for me when I got home on Friday. How amazing is that? I was expecting the usual standard delivery time of 3-5 working days so it was such a wonderful surprise to receive them so soon.
I opened the box with such delicate care, but they were so carefully wrapped I think they would have survived all the cardboard shredding in the world! When I took them out of the box I was honestly taken aback (so much so that I completely forgot to take any photos – sorryyyyy). I did however just about remember to take photos once they were placed in their vase.
Upon the care instructions provided on the box, I trimmed the stems by roughly an inch with some very sharp scissors. I then proceeded to run the tap until luke warm before filling my favourite vase and stirring in the flower food (kindly provided with the flowers). Little tip from me – my mum has ALWAYS taught me to add a little sugar to the water to help them live a little longer – flowers must have a sweet tooth just like me.
Blossoming Gifts brought a huge cheesy smile on my face when I opened the enclosed card up. Awwww how sweet! I assume that you could enclose a note of your own to your recipient and brighten their days too!
What I love about my bouquet
Having redecorated my room, I specifically chose a pastel pink theme when selecting my bouquet. The bouquet I FINALLY decided on was the Scented Lily & Rose which I think is just perfect for this summery season. No matter where I put them in my room, the vivid colour and smell completely brightened my day!
Another thing I love about my bouquet is watching the blooming process. As they are sent out so early the flowers are about to bloom when they reach you. This is a totally different experience from buying them in the high street where they’re half dead by the time you get them home. Every day I come home from work and they have opened up a little bit more, and my bouquet has been transformed! Maybe I’m a little sad, but it makes such a positive impact on your emotional state to have something growing in your living space.
The price tag
These flowers are more than you would pay at your local supermarket. But I think they are much, much better value for money! My bouquet has lasted me twice as long as anything I have previously bought for 3/4 of the price, receiving half the size and a tiny fraction of the quality.
This bouquet for example holds a value of £36 but has been reduced to £26 recently – grab it while you can!! You can also upgrade your flowers to a large for an extra fiver, which I would definitely recommend doing as they are so beautifully wild when there’s more to them.
If this bargain price is still putting you off I maaaay just have a little secret for you, and only you. If you use the following discount code at the checkout: BGIFTS33 you will receive a whopping 33% off your order!! Even better, it is valid for every product other than those on the flowers by post range. Oh I do spoil you all don’t I? You’re all totally worth it though.
So what are you waiting for?
Make amends with that unruly neighbour. Apologise for the things you said when you were hungry. Cheer up your colleague who is having a rough time. Congratulate your cousin who has graduated University.
There are bouquets for all occasions, for every style and every individual and you can find them all here. You’re all out of excuses now! Sorry, not sorry.
