Urtekram 100% Organic Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Urtekram 100% Organic Shampoo and Conditioner Review - www.wingitwithjade.com

Having white silver hair is bloody fantastic, I won’t lie. However, there are unfortunately some downsides; the upkeep is incredibly high maintenance and bleach is undeniably terrible for your hair. I’m incredibly luck to have been graced with naturally thick hair, but it’s condition has definitely deteriorated over the last year since I began the bleaching process. It can be so dry, brittle and even goes as far as snapping if I put too much stress on it – eeek! In December 2016 I’d finally had enough and began researching how to better look after my hair (without having to give up my bleach addiction). I was thankfully contacted soon after by Urtekram about their 100% organic shampoo and conditioner. So did it revive my damaged hair? Keep reading to find out more!

They have such a fantastic range of products to suit all needs and tastes. The food items look absolutely delicious and I’m definitely going to be eyeing these up more on my next payday. The skin and hair variety are also super exciting – I could spend hours browsing the whole of this site.

What Makes them 100% Organic?

A fantastic sign about Urtekram’s shampoo and conditioner is the short and sweet ingredient list. One important thing I learned from my research is how damaging the completely unpronounceable chemicals are for your hair. It’s probably common sense but trust me, once your eyes are opened to it you realise the scary truth that ALL the well known brands are packed with damaging chemicals.  Take my word for it; I went scouring the shops high and low looking at ingredient labels. My rule was: if you can’t pronounce it, it’s not good for your hair!Cover Image - UrtekRam 100% Organic Shampoo and Conditioner Review - www.wingitwithjade.com

I couldn’t find a single shampoo or conditioner with a short, readable ingredient list. With this in mind, just take a look at the ingredients found in the Urtekram 100% Organic Coconut Shampoo:

Water, coconut and corn sugar soap, coconut nectar*, aloe vera*, sweet orange oil*, seaweed extract*, daisy flower extract, perfume (natural essential oils and extracts), salt, polysaccharide, vitamin E, magnolia bark extract. * = Organic farming.

Some Things to Get Used To

One thing I did find really hard to get used to about these products was the strange consistencies of both the shampoo and conditioner. The best way to describe it is “watery”. When you think about the fact that some of the harmful chemicals in normal hair products are thickeners and foaming agents, it’s actually incredibly reassuring – even if it does feel completely strange. Just don’t squeeze the bottle too hard or else you will lose it down the drain.Cover Image - UrtekRam 100% Organic Shampoo and Conditioner Review - www.wingitwithjade.com

The smell was the other thing to get used to. Being all natural and 100% organic it is without the heavily perfumed ingredients. So no, it doesn’t smell like you’ve been washing your hair in a tropical rain forest orgasming under a waterfall *Ahem, no names mentioned*. It smells of natural coconut; refreshing, authentic and healthy.

My Overall Experience with the Urtekram 100% Organic Shampoo and Conditioner

I can honestly say that my hair has never felt so healthy. I can’t believe that Urtekram aren’t being sold in every single UK supermarket. How has this brilliant product been kept a secret for so many years?

The damage to my hair has been noticeably reduced since using this shampoo and conditioner, both in appearance and texture. This means no more snapping – thank God!! My hair began to look and feel silkier after just a few washes, without being weighed down or thinned out by harsh chemicals.Cover Image - UrtekRam 100% Organic Shampoo and Conditioner Review - www.wingitwithjade.com

I truly believe that Urtekram’s 100% Organic hair range has wound back the clock on my damaged hair and strengthened it in the long term. Now I’m using Urtekram in every shower, I can’t see myself lazily reaching for the expensive damaging mainstream brands ever again!

How Much Do They Cost?

Unfortunately, due to their unavailability in the UK, there is the obvious drawback of a higher price tag. Groaaan. I know, not everyone can afford to be spending a fortune on organic products – or else we’d all be doing it! But to be honest, they’re not really THAT much more expensive than your high street brands. Sometimes it’s just worth paying a little extra for peace of mind.

On Amazon at the moment you can pick up the Urtekram 100% Organic Coconut shampoo for £9.23 with free UK Delivery – this has been discounted down from £12.85. Oooh I do love a good bargain.

The Urtekram 100% Organic Coconut conditioner is set slightly higher at£10.10 with free UK Delivery. I suppose you could always test one for the time being and see how you get on with it if you’re not willing to make the financial plunge.
