My Little Box Subscription Review – April Box

My Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

Who on this earth doesn’t love a good subscription box?! The only problem is finding the RIGHT subscription box. There are so many out there to choose from and the task of picking just one is a little daunting. Recently I ended my long-running Papergang subscription as I just wasn’t able to go through that level of stationary *sob*. So I thought I would re-invest that monthly payment into a new beauty/fashion/lifestyle subscription which ticks all the boxes. In this post I’ll be giving you the low down on the My Little Box subscription box and reviewing the April box goodies! So if you’re thinking of treating yourself to a surprise box of goodies in the form of a subscription box, keep reading on…

Why My Little Box?

I did a lot of research when trying to decide which subscription box to go for. I wanted something with variety, good value for money, and of course, something which I will actually use. My Little Box definitely leaped out at me and seemed to tick all of the boxes. It’s not just limited to beauty, so it seems that each themed box will literally be a total mixed bag – which is  exactly what I was after.

This subscription box is also a very reasonable £14.99 per month – so if the box is ever a little uninspiring, I won’t feel like it was a huge waste of money. I think £20 would be my personal maximum spend for a subscription box so this fits snuggly within that bracket. Once you see what’s inside, I’m sure you’ll agree that the value far exceeds the price!

First Impressions

When I opened the packaging to reveal My Little Box (I love how interchangeable their branding title is) I was completely in awe. I genuinely didn’t open it for a little while in case I tarnished it somehow. The design on the front is a gorgeous clue of the theme of the box, and is something I could use again, as it’s just so darn pretty! My Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

Upon lifting the lid, I could see a beautifully wrapped bundle of goodies, tied with an adorable My Little Box ribbon! It was almost bursting to be set free and all I could think was “This MUST be worth more than £14.99?” & although I haven’t ruined the magic by researching their prices – I’m so convinced that this is worth so much more. I love a good bargain.

Mixa Body Lotion for Dry Skin My Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

I’ve never heard of this brand or product before, but I love the design and the vast amount of the product! Normally with beauty subscriptions you’re given sample size items, in the hopes that you’ll enjoy it and purchase more. I get the feeling that My Little Box is created by normal people who want you to get the most out of it. I’m so looking forward to lathering my neglected dry pins with this!

Ape Coconut BitesMy Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

You mean, they’re gonna feed me too?! Count me in! I’ve never tried coconut bites or anything of the sort really – it’s not the kind of snack I usually reach for admittedly. After taking this photo I did inhale the contents of this cute little packet and they were so damn tasty! It was a gorgeous, crunchy, sweet snack which I think would be great for elevenses or an afternoon snack at my desk. I must say though, I was a little disappointed on opening the pack to see just 3 Coconut Bites inside, between the size of a 5p and 10p coin… So I shan’t be purchasing these again, despite how tasty they were. Few things infuriate me more than a bag of air!

My Little Beauty Vitamin ShotMy Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

Can we just take a second to appreciate the beautiful spring pastel packaging? I’m already sold before even reading the title of the product! This is actually a face scrub (which I am in DIRE need of). Made with bamboo extract, apricot seed powder, and argan oil – this sounds (and smells) like the energising boost my face needs in preparation for summer skin.

My Little Beauty Bain de SoleilMy Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

For anyone who spent their time snoozing in french class this little beauty is translated to “sunbath” – otherwise known as a moisturising self-tanner. I’ve always been a little scared of moisturising self-tanner, as generally speaking, moisture and fake tan don’t usually mix well (and usually result in patchy/streaky skin… NICE). But it’s been years since I last tried some and I’m willing to give it another try this summer.

FruitShake Fruit Infuser Water BottleMy Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

I think this has got to be my favourite item from the April box. After my operation I was taking comfort in anything sugary and full of fat. One month on and I’m feeling much more sluggish and bloated than usual as a consequence. I’m really excited to try to infuse different combinations of fruit to get me drinking more water AND consuming more fruit. Win win if you ask me! It also helps that this bottle is absolutely gooooorgeous and perfect for summer!

Fridge Magnet Shopping ListMy Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

As I’m still living at home, this one isn’t entirely perfect for me – but still INCREDIBLY cute. Regardless of whether anyone wants to use it, it is on our fridge, looking cute and pretty!

Wear-it-your-Way ScarfMy Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

I love this piece, if for no other reason than it is so different! I love the little guide also provided by My Little Box which gives you some scarf inspo for it’s many functions. I’m really bad at purchasing and using accessories in general, so it’s nice to receive one AND get instructions!

Garden to Table Seasonal CalendarMy Little Box Subscription Review, April Box - www.wingitwithjade

Keeping with the green theme of the April Box, I thought this was a really cute idea. As I have said, I’m living at home and don’t have much of a green thumb either, but I’ve given it to my step-dad and will hopefully have some gorgeous fruit and veg blooming in our garden soon!

Overall,

I am so glad I subscribed to My Little Box as I’m at least a little excited about everything inside. I can’t wait to see what little goodies I receive in May already! For just £14.99 per month, I definitely feel like I’m getting good value for money, and quality products to boot!
