I’ve never really considered myself one for accessories; probably partly because that would be an extra thing to have to think about in the morning. I have a couple of minimalistic bracelets, a necklace and a pair of earrings which I wear everyday without fail, and I’ve never even thought of adding anything else… That is, up until a few weeks ago when I was first introduced to the Welly Merck brand and the watches they have to offer. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that my skin is always at its absolute worst at this time of year. With the colder temperatures comes scaly and even crusty skin (yum), and my face always bears the brunt of it. At the very same time, over indulging in all the scrummy food and alcohol over the festive period has me breaking out in spots and blackheads left, right and centre. Having combination skin to boot makes buying skincare products a bit of a nightmare when you’re trying to combat several issues in one go so I’m usually overly cautious about the products I use on my face. This year however my skin has been particularly bad so I reached for the new skincare range Palmer’s Cocoa Butter in an act of sheer desperation Read more..
A little while ago I was contacted to review a pair of Koko lashes. I’d never heard of Koko lashes before, but after doing some research I was excited to try them out. They have so many different kinds of lashes and they are all handmade with high quality synthetic fibres and human hairs. To top it off they’re cruelty free! One of my absolute favourite things in a beauty brand, and something I definitely look for before buying a product. I decided to go for a slightly bolder than usual style of falsies (bolder for me anyway) for something different. Read more..
Oh look, we’re in June already. Yep, my timing is completely off but no matter! It was never my intention to post my My Little Box treasures each month when I signed up to this subscription box. My first box was amazing. My May box blew April straight out of the water, so I would be selfish to not share it with you all. The theme of this box is “Friday Night” which I loooove. Since coming home from University last year, I barely go out drinking now, especially not on a Friday night. Funnily enough, when I received this box on Thursday 11th May, I was actually going on a proper night out the next day… It’s like someone at My Little Box HQ just KNEW I would be needing it. As I write this, I am sipping my third glass of prosecco, getting into the party mood. I don’t want to put this off any longer, let’s delve straight in with why this months My Little Box had me grinning from ear to ear. Read more..
Adulting is pretty darn hard sometimes. Especially when you work 9-5 (or in my case 8.30-4.30) and you just have no time to shop anymore. I can still grab all my beauty and clothing items with my online shopping sites – it’s almost like second nature to me now. The things I’m always forgetting to pick up are just the bog standard drug store bits. I usually pick these up “whilst I’m in town” but as that never happens anymore, I’m finding myself getting caught short far too often these days. Chemist.co.uk gave me a whopping £50 budget to spend on whatever my heart desired from their site, so I’m going to show you, not only how far that £50 got me, but also the huge variety of products available on their site. Who on this earth doesn’t love a good subscription box?! The only problem is finding the RIGHT subscription box. There are so many out there to choose from and the task of picking just one is a little daunting. Recently I ended my long-running Papergang subscription as I just wasn’t able to go through that level of stationary *sob*. So I thought I would re-invest that monthly payment into a new beauty/fashion/lifestyle subscription which ticks all the boxes. In this post I’ll be giving you the low down on the My Little Box subscription box and reviewing the April box goodies! So if you’re thinking of treating yourself to a surprise box of goodies in the form of a subscription box, keep reading on… Read more..
Do you ever just find yourself in the mood for baking? This has been me all week, so I decided to get creative and pair my baking craving with a little Easter festivity. A say a little, I mean a lot. Once I started with the Easter themed cake ideas I couldn’t stop! This cake is a really crowd-pleaser and is destined to generate a room full of “oohs” and “aahs”. If you feel like showing off to your family and friends this Easter, or even just doing a nice spot of baking by yourself or with the kids, you’re in the right place! Read more..
I have always been a huge fan of creating lists. Lists about literally anything. Every day I have a to-do list which is ordered by priority, and I also set myself lists of goals to achieve – in a month, a year or five years. This hyper-organised style of living I’m sure isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I personally love to mark my progress and my achievements and to know that I’m always being my most productive self. At the end of December 2016, whilst others were making New Years resolutions, I decided to compile an Undo List for 2017. Read more..

It’s the beginning of 2017 and we are all looking forward with the hopes of an even bigger and brighter year than the last. I’m sure that when we look back at 2016 there are just as many good memories as there are bad ones (although Brexit, Trump and the deaths of so many talented stars may cause you to question this). Something I worry about is the possibility of forgetting the smaller, happier moments in life. The moments which made you truly grateful to be alive. The Moments Journal aims to ensure that you don’t forget these important day-to-day details by encouraging you to record and appreciate each and every single one. Intriguing right?
