The Cheeky Panda bamboo tissues

In these strange and unprecedented times, it’s easy to tell ourselves that some things are more important than being eco-friendly. In this blog post, I’ll be reviewing bamboo pocket tissues from The Cheeky Panda*, a company dedicated to making this planet a greener place.

Nakin Skincare and Lip Balm Review

Nakin Skincare and Lip Balm Review - Nakin face serum - wingitwithjade

My skincare regime has always been on the cheap and cheerful side. I have combination skin so I moisturise every morning and night and deal with blotting my oily patches at intervals throughout the day. I always grab my skincare products from the supermarket because I go through so much – I want it to be as easy and as cost-effective as possible. When I was asked to try out some Nakin skincare products for this review, I was looking forward to seeing the difference in my skin from my very basic routine.

Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ Mascara

Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ Mascara www.wingitwithjade.com

Particularly during party seasons, it’s so easy to spend an absolute fortune on false lashes, all in the hopes for longer, more voluminous eyelashes. Fibre (how us brits spell it – sorry Younique!) lash mascara appeals to me because it gives the impression of longer lashes, without having to apply false lashes with glue – which would be damaging for your lashes if used regularly. A friend of mine who works for Younique got in touch with me and kindly offered to send me the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ mascara in exchange for a review. I was so excited to try this product out, and now I’m even more excited to share the results with you all. Read more..

Banish Dry Winter Skin with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter

Palmer's Cocoa Butter www.wingitwithjade.com

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that my skin is always at its absolute worst at this time of year. With the colder temperatures comes scaly and even crusty skin (yum), and my face always bears the brunt of it. At the very same time, over indulging in all the scrummy food and alcohol over the festive period has me breaking out in spots and blackheads left, right and centre. Having combination skin to boot makes buying skincare products a bit of a nightmare when you’re trying to combat several issues in one go so I’m usually overly cautious about the products I use on my face. This year however my skin has been particularly bad so I reached for the new skincare range Palmer’s Cocoa Butter in an act of sheer desperation Read more..

Jo Malone English Oak Launch Cambridge

Jo Malone English Oak Launch Cambridge - wingitwithjade.com

Jo Malone is one of those brands we’ve all heard about, but not necessarily had the opportunity or the funds to try. That is the exact reason I jumped for joy when I received my invitation to the Jo Malone English Oak launch at the Cambridge store. I am so, so lucky to have been asked to attend this event, and I was beyond excited about it! I’ve always heard amazing things about Jo Malone, and their products are the definition of Instagram-worthy, so it was high time I gave them a go! Read more..

Fab Little Bag discreet tampon disposal

Fab Little Bag discreet tampon disposal - www.wingitwithjade.com

Let’s talk tampons, and more importantly, how we get rid of them. I don’t know about you, but when I started my period I never once received a user manual on how to use or to dispose of sanitary waste. I don’t know where I got the notion from, but I just saw it as a given to throw tampons in the toilet. They seem pretty degradable and no one wants to see the evidence of my period in the bathroom bin. Especially not after a week – that might start to pong (sorry for the TMI but you know it’s true). In this post I’ll be sharing with you all the TRUTH about tampon disposal and my discovery of the Fab Little Bag, which has honestly put an end to all my tampon disposal worries. Read more..

Review: Koko Lashes in Dashin’

Flatlay - Review Koko Lashes in Dashin' www.wingitwithjade.com

A little while ago I was contacted to review a pair of Koko lashes. I’d never heard of Koko lashes before, but after doing some research I was excited to try them out. They have so many different kinds of lashes and they are all handmade with high quality synthetic fibres and human hairs.  To top it off they’re cruelty free! One of my absolute favourite things in a beauty brand, and something I definitely look for before buying a product. I decided to go for a slightly bolder than usual style of falsies (bolder for me anyway) for something different.  Read more..

My Little Box – May 2017

My Little Box May 2017 www.wingitwithjade

Oh look, we’re in June already. Yep, my timing is completely off but no matter! It was never my intention to post my My Little Box treasures each month when I signed up to this subscription box. My first box was amazing. My May box blew April straight out of the water, so I would be selfish to not share it with you all. The theme of this box is “Friday Night” which I loooove. Since coming home from University last year, I barely go out drinking now, especially not on a Friday night. Funnily enough, when I received this box on Thursday 11th May, I was actually going on a proper night out the next day… It’s like someone at My Little Box HQ just KNEW I would be needing it. As I write this, I am sipping my third glass of prosecco, getting into the party mood. I don’t want to put this off any longer, let’s delve straight in with why this months My Little Box had me grinning from ear to ear. Read more..

‘Quiet Power’ by Susan Caine: Celebrating the Introverted

Quiet Power Growing Up as an Introvert in a World That Cant Stop Talking - www.wingitwithjade

I know what some of you are thinking: “I didn’t know Jade was an introvert?”. Well, to be honest I don’t think I would define myself as an introvert either. Or an extrovert for that matter. My behaviour totally depends on who I’m with, the situation I’m in, and how comfortable I am. I would imagine that this is how at least 50% of us would define ourselves. I believe the term for someone who falls in the middle of being an introvert and an extrovert is called an ambivert. So if I don’t identify myself as an introvert then why the heck did I pick Quiet Power up off the shelf? Why am I writing a whole blog post about it for that matter? I’m sure you have many questions – all of which I aim to answer… Read more..

£50 Drugstore Haul from Chemist.co.uk

£50 Drugstore Haul from Chemist.co.uk www.wingitwithjade.com

Adulting is pretty darn hard sometimes. Especially when you work 9-5 (or in my case 8.30-4.30) and you just have no time to shop anymore. I can still grab all my beauty and clothing items with my online shopping sites – it’s almost like second nature to me now. The things I’m always forgetting to pick up are just the bog standard drug store bits. I usually pick these up “whilst I’m in town” but as that never happens anymore, I’m finding myself getting caught short far too often these days. Chemist.co.uk gave me a whopping £50 budget to spend on whatever my heart desired from their site, so I’m going to show you, not only how far that £50 got me, but also the huge variety of products available on their site.
