One of my least favourite things about maintaining bright blonde hair is how damaging it can be. Unfortunately I have the perfect example of the devastating affects of bleach… In late October 2016 my mum had finished touching up my silver roots with bleach and asked me what I wanted her to do with the leftover product. I wasn’t concentrating and I asked her to “just slap it all over”… Read more..
Having white silver hair is bloody fantastic, I won’t lie. However, there are unfortunately some downsides; the upkeep is incredibly high maintenance and bleach is undeniably terrible for your hair. I’m incredibly luck to have been graced with naturally thick hair, but it’s condition has definitely deteriorated over the last year since I began the bleaching process. It can be so dry, brittle and even goes as far as snapping if I put too much stress on it – eeek! In December 2016 I’d finally had enough and began researching how to better look after my hair (without having to give up my bleach addiction). I was thankfully contacted soon after by Urtekram about their 100% organic shampoo and conditioner. So did it revive my damaged hair? Keep reading to find out more!
As I’m sure most of you either know or can imagine, my hair is not in the best shape. Since starting University in 2013, my hair dresser appointments have become more than a little sporadic. The benefit of this is that my hair has grown about a foot, the downside is of course the split ends. Adding to that, over the past year I have gone from natural looking highlights to all over bleach and silver hair dye every 6-8 weeks. Ouch. In other words, it isn’t a surprise when I find my hair snapping and falling off in my lap – the price of beauty is steep! When I was contacted by Brooke at AJC consultants about the JOICO K-Pak hair treatment range, I jumped at the opportunity to try it out.
