Nakin Skincare and Lip Balm Review

Nakin Skincare and Lip Balm Review - Nakin face serum - wingitwithjade

My skincare regime has always been on the cheap and cheerful side. I have combination skin so I moisturise every morning and night and deal with blotting my oily patches at intervals throughout the day. I always grab my skincare products from the supermarket because I go through so much – I want it to be as easy and as cost-effective as possible. When I was asked to try out some Nakin skincare products for this review, I was looking forward to seeing the difference in my skin from my very basic routine.

About Nakin skincare

Nakin’s story is a simple yet important one. Their main concerns are being cruelty free (yaaay), only using natural ingredients and providing the best anti-ageing results possible with their skincare products.

It’s so important to support beauty companies like Nakin who are doing their part to create natural skincare products without senselessly harming animals in the process, just for the sake of making more money.

Natural Anti-Ageing Performance Face Serum

The face serum has become an addition to my every day routine, to be applied before moisturiser. It is a gel-like lotion which doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy texture, but rather makes your skin feel firmer. A large selling point of this serum is it’s anti-ageing benefits. As I’m 25 and gladly wrinkle-free, I can’t really comment on whether this was effective.

Lip Balm

When I first opened this product it struck me that the smell was not perfumed or appetising in any way. I was also surprised by how thick the balm is. It’s totally and completely different from any other lip balm I’ve used in the past. The scent and flavour of the lip balm is natural as the product is both vegan and cruelty free. This took some time to get used to, but now I actually really don’t notice at all. I use the lip balm every morning when I’m getting ready and throughout the day if my lips feel chapped. Each time I apply, my lips feel more plump and healthier.

To sum up

I will definitely buy the lip balm again. It feels like a luxury product, whilst being vegan, cruelty-free and not costing an arm and a leg. Also, a little goes a long way with the lip balm, so I doubt I’d need to buy again for several months.

The face serum is a little bit more expensive, and as I’m unable to see any immediate effects regarding wrinkles, I’m not sure the investment would be worth it at the moment. If you are struggling with wrinkles and give this product a try – let me know how you get on! Maybe you’ll change my mind.
